Classic beauty Anna wanted to be a modern bride but her heart was craving ruffles.
“Are you sure, I won’t look old fashioned with a princess-style skirt?” Anna asked in her design appointment with our designer, Kate Gubanyi.
In consultation, Kate and Anna decided a ruffled full skirt could be modernised with a sheer-look lace bodice featuring a plunging rounded v-shaped neckline and low-back.
The bride’s skirt is created using silk organza, which gave the gown structure while still providing flow.
The structure of the silk also meant the skirt was voluminous and, as silk organza doesn’t fray at the edges, the ruffles didn’t need hemming as an extra on-trend touch.
On a fresh spring day, with the rolling Byron valley hills as a backdrop, Anna and Matthew were married at the gorgeous Sommergrove Estate chapel.
The couple then headed to Kingscliff beach for some fun beach pics.
The ceremony was followed by an intimate charming reception at an old-world Greek Taverna restaurant in Kingscliff.
